Through my2050.eu, users can access the complex datasets collected in the project through an interface that simplifies them on a graphical level. Goal of the tool is that users gain an understanding for different pathways to reach net-zero emissions in Europe.
The CMF then further developed the results of the project to create calculators for different purposes. The Mackay Carbon Calculator was developed for the UK 2050 10th anniversary and launched at the Glasgow 2021 COP conference. It is used for educational and professional purposes. Another version of this calculator is “My Belgium in 2050” (my2050.be), aimed at students in Belgian schools. My2050.be was accompanied and supported by FPS Public Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment Belgium and had a wide reach.
