TESS (Towards European Societal Sustainability) was a European research project that ran from November 2013 to November 2016 and explored the role of communities in working towards a sustainable, low-carbon Europe. The project wanted to encourage and empower local communities to support biodiversity restoration through a Transactional Environmental Support System which combines all available knowledge in order to guide decisions for the benefit of biodiversity and livelihoods.
CMF was in charge of the communicative documentation of the project and developed an animated short film which gives an overview of the project's findings and shows how community-based initiatives can contribute to shaping a low-carbon Europe.
