Documentary films: Capturing the power of Citizen Science

As part of the I-CHANGE Project, we produced three documentary videos highlighting the citizen science activities in three of the eight participating Living Labs: Amsterdam, Genoa, and Bologna. Our team was responsible for directing, cinematography, sound recording, and editing all three films.

Each video showcases the power of collaboration between citizens and scientists in addressing local climate change challenges. The film "Genoa Living Lab: Predicting Extreme Weather with Citizen Data" received particular interest and has been selected for the Babul Eco film Festival, Fest5 International Film Festival, and the Goethe Institute's Science Film Festival.

Amsterdam: A citizen network equipped with small weather stations in their homes collects valuable data to better understand the effects of heatwaves inside houses. Watch the video.

Genoa: A large network of citizens and civil society organizations gathers weather-related data in areas beyond the reach of science. Their contributions enhance datasets, enabling better predictions of extreme weather events. Watch the video.

Bologna: The film follows a group of residents exploring their city by bike, using sensors to measure micro-climatic differences across the urban landscape. Watch the video.
