Visibility Campaign: Highlighting the Circular Economy in North Rhine-Westphalia
Client: Prognos GmbH on behalf of Kompetenznetzwerk Umweltwirtschaft.NRW
How can innovative recycling solutions support the energy transition while strengthening regional independence? Prognos GmbH approached Climate Media Factory with this question to design a visibility campaign for the Kompetenznetzwerk Umweltwirtschaft.NRW.
The Challenge
Critical raw materials such as silicon are essential for technologies like photovoltaic modules. Yet, their extraction is resource-intensive, and reliance on imports makes the energy transition vulnerable. For the first time, companies in North Rhine-Westphalia are now bringing recycled silicon and recycled silicon carbide to market on an industrial scale – saving CO₂ and reducing dependence on global supply chains. The campaign needed to make this pioneering achievement visible and tangible.
Our Approach
We distilled complex technical information into engaging stories and visuals for a LinkedIn campaign that:
- Explained the role of silicon recycling as a best-practice example of circular revaluation.
- Showcased innovative NRW companies driving recycling solutions for critical resources.
- Connected recycling to climate action by highlighting CO₂ savings and regional resource security.
Our Contribution
- Strategic consulting and campaign concept development
- Copy-editing of posts for clarity and impact
- Design of sharepics for LinkedIn
The Result
The campaign spotlighted how NRW’s companies are investing in sustainable innovation and circular economy solutions, positioning the region as a pioneer in resource-efficient strategies for the energy transition.
