The Climate Media Factory is a media, consulting and concept agency that has been developing media and web applications for a social transformation towards a liveable, sustainable future for ten years, both as a service provider and as a partner in international research networks.
We are looking for a front-end developer (m/f/d) for the development of an interactive, user-friendly web application, fed by a scientific model, that enables local planners to choose optimal measure sets for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Your tasks
- co-development of user-friendly and scalable end-user products to support the decarbonisation of cities & regions in an ongoing stakeholder process
- design and implementation of the front-end and its features in consultation with the project development team and the international consortium
- quality assurance and scalability testing
Your profile
- You have relevant experience in developing and building decision-making tools or other end-user products and a knack for interaction design and usability.
- You are proficient in relevant web technologies for data visualisation.
- You are used to thinking independently, acting proactively, and taking responsibility for making projects thrive.
- You can cope with international, English-speaking teamwork and are able to deal with constructive feedback from different sides.
- You’re interested in matters of sustainability and climate science.
- Knowledge on the back-end side (definition and implementation of APIs, databases) is an advantage, especially for effective collaboration with scientific modellers.
- A degree in a discipline that fits the requirements is also an advantage.
